York County Sheriff: Person with ‘ties’ to Rock Hill police found dead in apartment Andrew Dys, The Charlotte Observer
The body was found after 3 p.m. Friday in the Anderson Apartment Building, 108 Main Street, at the corner of Main Street and Dave Lyle Boulevard, according to a written statement released by the sheriff’s office.
The homicide is not considered a random act of violence, York County Sheriff Kevin Tolson said in the statement. No arrests have been made, Tolson said.
The incident is inside the Rock Hill city limits and across the street from the city police department. The city police department would normally handle a death investigation inside the city.

Lone survivor of South Carolina mass shooting has died: coroner

Shook had been the only survivor of the six shooting victims.
Shook was 38. He died at Atrium Health Care in Charlotte after he was airlifted from Wednesday’s shooting scene, Gast said.
Shook was from Grover in Cleveland County, Gast said.
The suspect in the case was former NFL player Phillip Adams, York County Sheriff Kevin Tolson said Thursday. Five people at the home of a prominent local doctor, Robert Lesslie, were found dead at the scene, and Shook was wounded.
Adams, a 32-year-old Rock Hill native, fired as many as 20 shots during the spree, Tolson said. He died by suicide in his family’s nearby home, according to the sheriff.
