Black Rock Shooter has been out for some time in Japan and we’ve seen some overseas acquisitions, including Siren Visual picking it up back in 2012 for Australian release. An OVA was released in 2010 that ran for 50 minutes and at the beginning of 2012 there was an eight-episode run that aired on Fuji TV.
Back in December 2020, Discotek Media has announced that they’ve picked up the release after teasing it previously and are planning for a bilingual Blu-ray release. That property now has a July 27th, 2021 release date on Blu-ray set for it priced at $39.95. It’ll have the full run and include the clean opening and closing sequences, promos, behind-the-scenes material, and animatics.
