A five-year-old was allegedly brutally killed by her own mother, who gouged out her eyes and also cut out her tongue and ate it. Josimare Gomes da Silva from Brazil allegedly carried out the brutality on Brenda Carollyne Pereira da Silva during a gruesome psychotic episode. The 30-year-old suspect, who is reportedly suffering from mental health issues including depression, was arrested at her home in the town of Sao Cristovao. The New York Post reported that Josimare was taken into custody after her daughter’s grandfather broke into the bathroom and witnessed the devastating scene.
