Annastacia Palaszczuk doesn t want to offend anyone with games opening ceremony snub
Yesterday Brisbane was named the host city for the 2032 Olympic Games, with Ms Palaszczuk in Tokyo for the announcement.
There was debate over whether she should attend as Australia grapples with the pandemic and millions of Aussies remain unable to return home.

During a press conference following the announcement, the premier had an awkward exchange with Mr Coates - who was responding to Ms Palaszczuk s earlier statement she would not attend the opening ceremony while in Tokyo.
