is (Courtesy of Mizrachi) World Mizrachi’s Yeshivot and Seminaries Department will host its third annual online fundraiser, Campaign for Yeshivot & Seminaries in Israel, from May 15 through May 16. This year, World Mizrachi, the umbrella group for religious Zionism globally, is aiming to raise several million dollars for critical infrastructure, educational programming and scholarships for 20 gap-year seminaries and yeshivas throughout Israel.

North American Gap Year Students Raise $14,000 to Empower ADI s Residents

(Courtesy of ADI Israel) On the morning of December 29, following a week of gloomy weather, the Negev clouds gave way to abundant sunshine and an atmosphere of heightened hope and humanity, as ADI (adi-israel.org), Israel’s most comprehensive provider of residential and rehabilitative care for individuals with severe disabilities, hosted their first annual “Race for Inclusion.” The 2.5K fun run highlighted the importance of disability inclusion while also raising over $14,000 to enhance ADI’s respiratory therapy and hydrotherapy programs, thereby empowering their residents and special education students with multiple disabilities.

Ashreinu: An Israeli Yeshiva With NJ Roots By Harry Glazer | December 30, 2020 If you’re a New Jersey yeshiva high school student or their parent and, in checking out options for gap-year programs in Israel, you find something strangely familiar about Yeshivat Ashreinu in Beit Shemesh no, it’s not your imagination. It’s the school’s strong roots in New Jersey. Three of the Yeshiva’s administrators/instructors proudly hail from Bergen County and are quite familiar with many of the religious communities in our region. Rabbi Nisanel “Gotch” Yudin, the rosh hayeshiva, lived in Fair Lawn from 1969 (when he was 3 years old) until he got married at age 23. His parents are Rabbi Binyamin and Shevi Yudin of Fair Lawn. He attended MTA and YU. He then lived in Teaneck and Bergenfield, started teaching at Frisch in 1999, and became assistant principal and director of admissions in 2002.
