CA Basque Investments, the Mauritius-based special purpose vehicle owned by Carlyle Group, sold 39,00,00,000 shares of the lender at Rs 27.10 a share, bulk deals data on the BSE showed. Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte bought 30,63,05,668 shares or 1.1% in the lender through a separate bulk deal for Rs 830 crore.

Buying was seen in media, PSU banks and realty stocks while Nifty IT ended 1.25% lower. SBI ended 4% higher while TCS, Infosys and Tech Mahindra ended 1-3% lower.
On Saturday, YES Bank reported robust growth in profit for the quarter ended December 2023, with the bottom line surging more than four times year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 231 crore.
The profit growth is seen upwards of 300%, while net interest income is likely to grow around 2% year-on-year in the October-December period. Some analysts are even predicting a decline in the NII due to slower loan growth and the rising cost of funds.
