| Among the routes planned by United is a new one to Yellowstone National Park, pictured, from its Denver hub. United Airlines will add more than 480 daily flights to its domestic schedule in June, bringing its total number of daily domestic departures to more than 3,100. The increase will put the Chicago-based carrier at 67% of its June 2019 domestic schedule and 60% of its total June 2019 flying. As with its competitors, United will focus the build-up on summer leisure destinations. Spreading its wings: How BZN became Montana s busiest airport

In 1999, the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport served about 222,000 passengers and had service to four direct destinations: Seattle, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis and Butte. The airport also has a $26.5 million second concourse that almost doubled its physical size, more than 1,000 employees and the achievement of being Montana’s busiest airport. But none of that happened overnight, said Airport Director Brian Sprenger. It didn’t even happen in the past decade.

Buck introduced himself by sharing his history of work with airports that heavily rely on tourism. His last position was Deputy Director of the Casper/Natrona County International Airport for almost five years.
