The president of the Yellowknife gymnastics club says the club will close Saturday after he and others saw a union memo indicating there would be a strike line at the club's location.
The Yellowknife Gymnastics club will reopen its doors Sunday after being forced to shut down Saturday when the union representing City of Yellowknife employees called for job action at its facility.
City workers are in a legal position to strike as of 8 a.m. Wednesday. If they don't reach a deal by midnight Tuesday night, the city is set to lock workers out before they can strike, triggering the closure of many city facilities and the shutdown of non-essential services and programs.
