The prosecutors keep raising the stakes, and now she faces up to 12 years of imprisonment. Over the last six months, Kalesnikava gave several interviews from behind bars and sent several messages to Belarusians and the authorities through her lawyers. In her prison messages, Maria looks focused, cheerful, confident in her rightness, and continues to convince Belarusians that they are unbelievable and have already won.
