Hundreds of internally displaced persons from Logo Boma of Otogo Payam in Central Equatoria’s Yei River County are in dire need of humanitarian assistance after being forced out of their homes by renewed fighting.

Voluntary returnees from neighboring Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo are in dire need of humanitarian assistance in Yei River County of Central Equatoria State, a local official has said.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Friday, Mabe Moses, the coordinator for Yei River County Relief and rehabilitation commission called on humanitarian organizations operating in the area to provide shelter and food assistance to the voluntary returnees who reintegrated into the community because they are suffering.
“Since the beginning of the year up to now December we have so far received more than 10, 000 voluntary returnees from Uganda and Congo and things are hard for them,” Mabe said. “They have not received anything and as government, I am appealing to the humanitarian partners to render assistance in terms of shelter and food so that they can re-start their livelihoods.”
