The Commissioner stated this in an interactive session with newsmen in Umuahia on Wednesday.
He noted that the local security outfits established by the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu led administration to cater for the security of the people and the State in complementing the efforts of federal security agencies, were still very effective.
On the issue of attacks on security institutions in the state, he made it clear that some arrests have been made and that the people should cooperate with government in finding lasting solution to the menace.
According to him, “we strongly urge all on those attacking security facilities in the country to stop it immediately because the consequences of such mindless attacks will not be palatable to any citizen of this country. Attacks on police officers, in particular, constitutes direct threat to our society. Nobody will benefit from anarchy going anarchical in our state or country.”

Governor Gboyega Oyetola has urged Muslim faithful in Osun State not to forget the significance and the lessons of the just concluded month of Ramadan.
The governor implored Muslims and non-Muslims in Osun State to take advantage of the festival to offer special prayers for the peace, progress and development of Nigeria.
Oyetola in his Sallah message, signed by his spokesperson, Ismail Omipidan prayed to God to accept all acts of worship and supplications of the Muslim faithful during the glorious month.
He, however, congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and wish them a blessed and peaceful Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone XI Command, Osogbo, Olasupo Babatunde Ajani, has stated that for Nigerians to enjoy lasting peace, cooperation with the law enforcement agencies, obedience to the laws of the land without coercion and exhibition of love of peace were essential ingredients.
Ajani made this known while speaking during a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II in Ile-Ife.
The top cop charged politicians, business owners, leaders of thoughts and youths to cooperate with the police to ensure the security of lives and property.
He also called for co-operation in the area of appropriate and timely dissemination of information to the police about the activities of criminal elements, adding that with such information, the police will do its best to reduce crime to the barest minimum in the society.
