Samuel Carter, also a former Yazoo police officer, pleaded guilty on Monday to misdemeanor assault of a minor victim. The incident took place in August 2019, when Carter allegedly pushed a minor student into a girl’s bathroom and choked the minor child at Yazoo County High School. Carter, who was the school resource officer at the time, tried to cover up the incident and had the child arrested on false charges, according to Yazoo County District Attorney Akillie Malone-Oliv
