President Akufo-Addo urged to prioritise infrastructure development
Mr Yaw Dabie-Appiah, a former Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to prioritise infrastructure development in his next government. Infrastructure development, he explained, would make ordinary Ghanaians feel and appreciate the government’s development efforts to enhance the party’s fortunes in Election 2024. Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Odumase in the Sunyani West District, Mr Dabie-Appiah noted that the government had performed creditably on social intervention policies and programmes and must shift its focus to infrastructural development. Following the outcome of the December 7 general election, some political analysts and individuals have been offering various suggestions to the President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo regarding the size of his next government as well as the caliber of people he should consider for ministerial and other key appointments.
Whereas others are calling for a drastic reduction of the number of ministers in view of the slim majority of Members of Parliament by the ruling NPP, some people are also of the opinion that that is really not the case.
