The club is drowning in the Ghana Premier League seas and in a bid to arrest their recent slump, they have engaged Nii Odartey Lamptey about taking over.
The club on Thursday announced the decision to dissolve their technical team headed by Yaw Acheampong for the club’s recent poor form.
In 16 matches played this season, Sharks only have picked 17 points and are now in danger of being in a relegation battle following their latest run of 3 defeats and 2 draws in their last 5 league matches.

Barely five days after battling rival Hearts of Oak to a nail-biting barren game, Asante Kotoko will this evening seek to garner maximum points as they engage Elmina Sharks in a dicey week-17 league tie at the Ndoum Park in Elmina.
Kick-off is at 6.pm.
It will be the first game for interim coach Nii Odartey Lamptey, who was appointed after Sharks parted ways with Yaw Acheampong and two other backroom staff. It is certainly a huge task for Lamptey in the dugout.

I was impressed with Charles Lewis’ article. We have a niece who is Down’s Syndrome. Sarah is now 39. She was born with major heart and other problems. I was working in Kingston when her parents brought her as a baby to the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, I was shocked what I saw this little baby with tubes and machines keeping her alive.
As she grew up she became a most cherished child with 20-plus aunts and uncles and over 70 cousins. She was joy-filled. She brought the entire family together. Sarah would come up to me and all her aunts or uncles and say (in my case), “Uncle Don, you are my FAVOURITE uncle.”
