A full-to-capacity gymnasium played host to Yavneh Academy’s eighth grade class Holocaust production “The Magnificent Danes.” This original play based on the book “Rescue in Denmark” by Harold Flender, was adapted for the stage and written by Yavneh students Regina Feiler, Joey Jawetz, Lila Montag, Benjamin Shiner, Emily Silver and Noah Zurkovsky.
Last Friday afternoon, the sound of Torah filled the Yavneh Academy hallways, as the students joined together for another great inter-grade learning program.
The excitement in the air of the Manhattan Day School (MDS) gymnasium was palpable, as a full house of students anxiously awaited the beginning of the first-ever Tu B’Shvat Bracha Bowl.
In honor of Tu B’Shevat, Yavneh Academy early childhood students had the opportunity to learn about the shivat haminim and participated in hands-on experiences at rotating stations.
