Ms Mardini and her friend Tegan Galea-Elson were at a party celebrating NYE
They decided to get a lift to another event but the driver sped and crashed
Ms Galea-Elston was killed and Ms Mardini suffered catastrophic injuries
The makeup artist is warning to drivers to slow down and be safe on roads
