Santo Domingo, Sep 16 (Prensa Latina) The first Pedro Henríquez Ureña chess classic was inaugurated here today with the presence of players from Argentina, Cuba, Spain, the United States, Mexico and the host country, places where the illustrious Dominican lived.

Meanwhile, five teams scored a fourth consecutive victory and are now sharing the lead the most surprising member of this group is Israel, which beat the Netherlands on Monday.
