The King of Fighters XV will be coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 when it is released during the first quarter of 2022, as well as Xbox Series X/S, Windows 10, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The game will be published both digitally and at retail worldwide by Koch Media.
Very few other details were announced about the next installment in the fighting game franchise, which has been known about publicly since it was briefly mentioned during an IPO investor relations conference two years ago. SNK has announced that they’ve made the decision to delay the long-awaited fifteenth title in their legendary The King of Fighters franchise. Initially slated for a mid-2021 release, The King of Fighters XV will now ship in the first quarter of 2022.

As has been customary since the year began, we got yet another King of Fighters 15 trailer last week, though this one was a special double-whammy featuring both Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia. Along with their unveiling, they also confirmed that the Art of Fighting team has been grouped together featuring Ryo, Robert and the last March reveal, King.

Though many of King of Fighters 15 s cast so far consist of returning members from King of Fighters 14, it s been nearly 20 years since Team Orochi s Yashiro Nanakase, Shermie and Chris have been playable in a numerical King of Fighters title.
To highlight the personalities of these returning characters, SNK has released a clip that showcases the idle poses for Yashiro, Shermie and Chris. All three of them are showing off their poses on the Concert Hall stage, which means we also get another opportunity to hear Team Orochi s new theme, Resonant Objects.
