From Russia with love: Gryazin back in WRC2
Russian driver Nikolay Gryazin has confirmed he will drive the full 2021 season in WRC2 in a Volkswagen Polo GTI 5.
The 23-year-old Russian will be on the start line next week at Rallye Monte-Carlo (21-24 January), however he has not nominated the event as a points-scoring round. The driver is yet to confirm which of the seven rallies on the 2021 calendar he will target as counting towards his title campaign.
Back in the co-driver’s seat will be fellow Russian Konstantin Aleksandrov. The pairing teamed up midway through last season, having previously done one rally together. Prior to the switch, Gryazin’s pace notes had been delivered by Yaroslav Federov.
