Man charged with murder after stabbing );
A MAN has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in Caversham.
Yannick Cupido, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene in Managua Close at around 12.55am on Sunday.
O’Neal Joseph, 28, of Amersham Road, Caversham, appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and the case was sent to Reading Crown Court for a further hearing today (February 19).
A plea and pre-trial preparation hearing has been set for May 14 and the trial is currently listed for October 11.
Another man, aged 22, was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and has been released under investigation.

Shortly before 1am yesterday (February 14), police were called to Managua Close in Caversham. A man, aged 24, was found with a stab wound to his chest and died at the scene. National media reports have identified the victim as Yannick Cupido. Police have been unable to officially confirm the victim s identity. Commenting on the Chronicle s Facebook page, one reader said: You don t expect this to happen on your doorstep. Another added: Sad to hear another death at the hands of knives thoughts with the victim and his family.
