As towns across Connecticut wait for vaccine doses to arrive each week, they also look to the state for guidance on next steps. The majority of town officials are still laser-focused on vaccinating residents 75 and older from phase 1b before moving on to think about future phases. Yet, with one round of sign-ups under their belts, a few towns in the Danbury area have begun to brainstorm future rollout tactics.

RIDGEFIELD The area will likely get 12 to 18 inches of snow, with the possibility of accumulations up to two feet, according to the National Weather Service.

Ridgefield Public Schools will be on a fully remote schedule Tuesday for all students and staff, Superintendent Susie Da Silva said.
“This is an official school day, and students should follow their class/school schedules,” she said in a letter addressed to parents.

Danbury area COVID-19 vaccine clinics are being canceled or postponed early in the week as a snowstorm hits the area.
Gov. Ned Lamont said most vaccine clinics across the state were canceled or postponed Monday due to the conditions. He did, however, note that trucks carrying the COVID-19 vaccines would continue to be allowed to bring shipments to their destination. He was also optimistic about keeping the vaccines at proper storage temperatures.

Yesterday was opening day at Yanity Gym yesterday as RVNAhealth officially began administering COVID-19 vaccines to community members in CT Phases 1A and Phase 1B, 75+.
Extraordinary thanks to our partners in health, the Town of Ridgefield, our skilled nurses, our phenomenal CERT volunteers, and our debut class of vaccinees, who bared their arms and set the stage for this most important phase in containing the COVID-19 pandemic.
