9月15日，中共中央宣传部举行“中国这十年”系列主题新闻发布会，生态环境部部长黄润秋介绍，我国空气质量发生了历史性的变化，空气质量指标PM2.5从2015年的46微克/立方米降到了2021年的30微克/立方米，优良天数比率2021年达到了87.5%，比2015年增长了6.3个百分点。他表示，在战略层面上，必须保持污染防治攻坚战的战略定力，坚持方向不变、力度不减。

生态环境部部长黄润秋15日表示，党的十八大以来，水生态环境保护治理体系不断完善，碧水保卫战成效显著，河湖生态保护修复取得积极进展。在黄河生态保护治理攻坚方面，已经完成黄河上游及部分中游河段1.7万余个排污口的排查，实现了黄河干流全线达到或优于III类水体的标准。
