Matanzas, Cuba, Jul 4 (Prensa Latina) Air Canada has resumed flights to Varadero, Cuba s major coastal resort in high demand by tourists from that northern nation, a civil aeronautical source confirmed. The itinerary was bound for the Juan Gualberto Gomez airport, in western Matanzas province, from Toronto, on an A-321 plane that arrived at 10:20 hours (local time) carrying 130 passengers, Yamil Millares, chief of on-ground operations of that facility informed. It is very important to restart these operations since Canadian vacationers historically represent a market with a large influx into our famous sun and beach tourist destination, the manager told Prensa Latina.

MIAMI, United States. – Anglo-German tour operator TUI UK renewed its flights to Varadero this Thursday, according to Cuba’s official news agency Prensa Latina.
“Over one hundred tourists from the United Kingdom are enjoying Varadero this Friday, the most important tourist destination in Cuba, after the Anglo-German tour agency restarted operations with the famed Varadero tourism spot,” reported Prensa Latina.
According to statements by Yamil Millares, chief of operations at the “Juan Gualberto Gomez” International Airport in Matanzas, the tourists come from Manchester, in the United Kingdom.

Matanzas, Cuba, Apr 18 (Prensa Latina) Russia today reestablished flights from Moscow to Varadero, the most important beach resort in Cuba, through a connection arriving at the Juan Gualberto Gómez airport in the western province of Matanzas.
Russian tourists traveled by the Azur Air company in a Boeing 777 with 527 passengers on board to the Matanzas airport, second in importance on the island after José Martí at the capital, and located between this capital city and Varadero.
Yarisleidy Espinosa, head of the commercial department of the aforementioned aerodrome, told Prensa Latina this restart of operations with a market that moves a large number of vacationers to the main Cuban sun and beach area is of tremendous importance for the country.
