PETALING JAYA: Nearly 67,000 families have bought houses under the My First Home scheme (SRP) from its 2011 launch up to February, says Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.
Sipitang MP Yamani Hafez Musa advised Employees Provident Fund (EPF) contributors who have opted to withdraw their money under the Government’s special withdrawal initiative to be wise with how they spend their resources.
He advised those who could still afford their expenses to refrain from withdrawing, however he understood that many of those who opt to withdraw are the needy.
“They really need it so I advise them to use it as best as possible to meet their needs,” the Deputy Finance Minister II said this during the aid handover ceremony to mosques and suraus in Sipitang, at the Pekan Mesapol Mosque
