Zホールディングス株式会社（以下、ZHD）傘下のヤフー株式会社（以下、ヤフー）は、「ヤフージャパン ライセンス契約」に係る基本契約（以下、本契約）を締結しましたのでお知らせします。
本契約では、Verizon Mediaの売却完了（2021年後半に予定）などを前提条件に、既存の「ヤフージャパン ライセンス契約」の締結先であるOath Holdings Inc.（Verizon Mediaの子会社）とヤフーが、新たな契約を締結し、「ヤフージャパン ライセンス契約」を終了することが合意されています。これによりヤフーはロイヤルティの支払いなく、関連する商標・技術などが利用可能になるほか、ZHDグループ全体としても、ブランドの使用や技術開発に関する自由度が高まり、より機動的な事業展開が可能となります。
