A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the death of a 14-year-old Nicolas Elizalde following a shooting that left four other teens wounded in.
Yaaseen Bivins, 21, was arrested for his role in the Roxborough High School shooting that killed Nicolas Elizalde and and wounded four other teenagers on Sept. 27. Bivins was charged with murder and aggravated assault. Investigators believe five shooters opened fire at a group of football players while a sixth suspect waited in a getaway SUV.
Authorities have announced charges against a second suspect in last month’s ambush shooting outside a Philadelphia high school that killed a 14-year-old.
Yaaseen Bivins, 21, has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, and related offenses in the shooting that killed 14-year-old Nicolas Elizalde and injured four others late last month.
"Philadelphia Police and our partners in law enforcement continue to tirelessly investigate this incident, and we ask for the public's help in identifying the remaining suspects involved," District Attorney Larry Krasner said Wednesday.
