本家のファミコンと異なり、電源とリセットボタンが前面に付いていて前から押す必要がある。リセットボタンはパシッと叩くようにリセットできないため、本家よりは少々押しにくかったかもしれないが、飼い猫などのペットに踏まれてリセットされる心配もない（!?）ところがよかったかもしれない。
価格は32000円で、後に黒いボディーカラーの後期型も発売されている。後期型のコントローラーにはなんと連射機能が標準搭載。連射パッドがけっこう流行っていた時代だったので、筆者的にはかなり羨ましく思った覚えがある。
