First phase of air corridor project in Xujiahui commercial area opens to public

Citizens walk under the air corridor in the Xujiahui commercial area in east China s Shanghai, Dec. 24, 2020. The first phase of an air corridor project located in the Xujiahui commercial area opened to the public recently. The air corridor project aims at connecting shopping malls and cultural and recreational areas in Xujiahui. The air corridor is equipped with facilities such as greening, landscape lighting and escalators. All the four phases of the air corridor project are expected to be completed in 2023. The shopping malls in the Xujiahui commercial area will then be connected with Xujiahui Catholic Church Square, the Xujiahui Library (also known as Bibliotheca Zi-Ka-Wei) and Xujiahui Parkland.
