HANOI (Xinhua): Vietnam's exports of wood and wood products in the first quarter this year fell 28.3 per cent to US$2.9 billion from a year ago due to falling global demand, local media reported on Tuesday (April 4).
HO CHI MINH CITY: The wood processing industry has set itself an export target of US$17.5bil (RM77bil) this year, an increase of 2.5% over 2022, due to unfavourable conditions in the global market, the Vietnam Timber and Forest Product Association (Viforest) says.
The Vietnamese woodwork industry is receiving more and more export orders now mainly due to its penetration into new markets and an ongoing shift in orders from China. - VnExpress International
