Even if there are no Xinjiang-related issues, the US and some Western countries will fabricate other rumors to constantly smear China. In essence, these countries use human rights as a pretext to interfere in other countries internal affairs out of geopolitical purposes.
There is no way China will follow the US path in the fight against COVID-19. There is one possibility, though, which is that the US is forced to adopt China’s zero-COVID policy if it cannot effectively bring the pandemic under control and the death toll keeps rising. Without effective medicine, and if the virus’ toxicity doesn’t subside, strict prevention and control measures will be the sole option in that scenario.
Some Western forces attempting to rope in more countries to “boycott” the Beijing Winter Games only look petty and despicable. The US’ clamor for an “Olympic boycott” sends the world a clear message of its helplessness and lack of capability.
The US won’t let go of its prestige as a hegemon and a power to boss others around. So it has adopted a twisted approach – seeking collaboration from China but continuing to point fingers at it.
