The Mooi Mpofana Municipality says it’s conducting its own investigation after a resident was shot on municipal premises and died in hospital.

It s understood 25-year-old Lindo Mchunu had gone to one of the offices in Mooiriver on Tuesday to get a proof of residence letter.
He’s alleged to have got into an argument with a security guard for not wearing a mask.
The security officer appeared in court yesterday.
Mooi Mpofana Mayor Xolani Duma says an urgent council meeting was called following the incident.
