從影片中可以看到，3隻鴨寶寶在知道危險靠近時，立刻潛入水裡自我保護，鴨媽媽則飛到黑頸鶴的身上擾亂，還不斷拍打著翅膀、激起陣陣水花，試圖模糊黑頸鶴的視線，讓牠找不到躲藏著的鴨寶寶們。不過最終身材高大的黑頸鶴還是佔據上風，長長的鳥喙輕鬆就將2隻鴨寶寶叼起，在鴨媽媽面前將牠們吞吃入肚。
黑頸鶴是大陸國家一級保護動物，又稱作高原鶴、藏鶴、雁鵝，是世界上唯一一種生長、繁殖在高原的鶴類，黑頸鶴的分布範圍非常狹小，大部分都生存在大陸的青藏高原和雲貴高原，包含青海、西藏、新疆、四川、甘肅、雲南和貴州7個省份，另外還有極少數的黑頸鶴棲息在不丹。
