Ali Riza Polat, accused of being the lynchpin in the attacks, was convicted at a French court after the trial was disrupted for a month when he tested positive for coronavirus in custody. The court also convicted Hayat Boumeddiene, the former partner of Islamist militant Amedy Coulibaly, who killed four people in a later attack on a Jewish supermarket, of terrorism-related charges.
