The China-Europe freight train has built up a transportation network that supports the stability of global supply chains and injects new impetus into global economic development. It has become a flagship project and a signature brand under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a regular press briefing on Friday.
China saw 1,352 China-Europe freight transported in July, up 8 percent year-on-year, making more than 1,000 train runs in a single month for 15 consecutive months, according to data from China Railway.

Xi an, capital of northwest China s Shaanxi Province, has seen a robust growth of cargo volume delivered via the China-Europe freight train service, with more than 50,000 carriages of cargo transported so far this year.
The X8155 train carrying 50 carriages of electric kettles, modems, children s bicycles and other goods departed from the station of Xi an International Port on Thursday, bringing the number of train carriages of such service to over 50,000.
