Where: Xchanges Gallery & Studios, 2333 Government St. When: April 3-18 Admission: Free Why: A new exhibit by Victoria artist Gillian Redwood chronicles the process by which her acrylic paintings come to life. In a unique move, The Triumph of Light will showcase side by side both the early chalk-pastel sketches and finished versions of her work, giving a portrait of the artist in reverse. For those who miss out on meeting Redwood, who was born in Wales and studied at the Cardiff College of Art, in person this weekend (she will be at the gallery Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.), she will be giving an artist talk and tour of the exhibit April 10 at 3:30 p.m. through Zoom.
