Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): Nagaland NCC Ex-cadets’ Association (NNCCEA) organised a one-day training camp at St. Xavier College in Jalukie town under Peren district on October 29. The main objective of the training was to provide the upcoming cadets with incisive learning and awareness to enable them make use of it in the near future in getting their job especially for those who wished to join the armed forces as officer or other ranks. Some significant activities of the camp included armless drill, obstacle, map reading, history of NCC, weapon theory class etc. A press release from the college informed that CTO Viketuonuo and 7 Nagaland NCC Ex-Cadet Association executive members s attended the camp. It stated that the association has heaped praises on Fr. Francis S Cheerangal, principal of SXCJ, for his hospitality and support towards the NCC cadets. The association further conveyed best wishes to St. Xaviers College NCC and anticipate more collaborative camps in the days ahead.
EM Bureau Dimapur, Aug. 12 (EMN): Various districts and education institutions in Nagaland observed the ‘International Youth Day’ on Friday on the theme ‘Intergenerational solidarity: creating a world for all ages -HIV-free.’ Dimapur: A youth cultural exchange programme organised by National Foundation for India (NFI) in collaboration with Can Youth at DBIDL on Friday. During the exchange programme, various tribes and communities in Dimapur participated to share and discuss on the gaps and lapses in intergenerational practices to strengthen and identify priority areas to improve for social transformation through leadership. Speaking on the occasion as special guest, president of Naga Women Hoho, Dimapur, Duoneinuo Kire said that youths are the main agents of change in the society and.
