Get ready for an Arctic blast to hit the valley this week. Environment Canada says temperatures over Interior regions will be 10 to 20 degrees below the seasonal average. That means overnight lows at, or below minus-20 by mid-week and daytime highs not much warmer than minus-10.
If you’re going to disobey the quarantine rules, don’t be an idiot and go out speeding. A driver near Whistler, was pulled over for speeding, but then police found out that he had returned home from abroad only 9 days earlier and was supposed to be self isolating. For his troubles the driver got fines totalling $1,150 for Public Health violations, and a speeding ticket.
