The college student who came face-to-face with the person suspected of killing her friends as they exited the students' off-campus home in the city of Moscow is still struggling with survivor's guilt, says her former stepmother.
The mother of Ethan Chapin, one of the victims in the University of Idaho murders, is recalling her "fury" after learning some were "speculating that her son might have carried out the atrocity as part of a murder-suicide plan."
A father of one victim learned "that the two survivors allegedly had not only been awake while the killings had taken place but that they had heard everything,” reports Air Mail.
"The bed was up against the wall. The headboard was touching the wall and the left side of the bed was touching the wall. And we believe that Maddie was on the outside and Kaylee was on the inside," says Kristi Goncalves. "She was trapped."
