Analysis of the Daytona Beach Mulitple Listing Service s data by Wyse Home Team Realty shows that single-family home sales in 2020 saw about a six percent increase over 2019 and the median price increased about nine percent over 2019. Broker and CEO Ron Wysocarski said that it s a seller s market because while the number of houses sold increased, the number of homes available showed a marked decrease. It s going to take a bit to replace that missing inventory and a lot of the ones going on the market are going under contract really fast so we re not moving the needle much as far as an increase in inventory. Cold Temps No Match For Hot Condo Sales

Jan 14, 2021 5:16 PM Daytona Beach, FL - Even as temperatures plummeted throughout the Daytona Beach area, condo sales were still heating up through the month of December. Recent analysis of the Daytona Beach Multiple Listing Service (MLS) by Wyse Home Team Realty found that 188 units sold in the area for a median sales price of $248,950. Those sales figures are a 32 percent increase in condo sales over December 2019 and a 22 percent increase over condo sales in November 2020. Furthermore, sales volume was found to be up by 40 percent in December when compared to last year. In annual comparisons, median sales prices were found to be up by 14 percent, but down when compared to November 2020. Still, the increases were achieved as the area continued to battle staggeringly low inventory levels after the number of available units dropped to just 657 during December. Despite the unmistakable economic impacts, ongoing uncertainties, and even a statewide shutdown of business for all non-essential businesses in April, condo sales and prices climbed much higher than expected across Volusia County during 2020. An analysis of Daytona Beach Multiple Listing Service (MLS) data by Wyse Home Team Realty showed there were 1845 condo sales across the area from January 1 to December 31. The units sold had a median sales price of $235,000. That’s an 18 percent increase in area’s condo sales total, year over year. And it’s a 13 percent rise in the median condo sales price for the Daytona Beach area.
