The 2021 finalists have been announced for the prestigious Milward Simpson Award.
This honor is given to the most outstanding male and female student-athletes in the state. It is considered the most prestigious award a prep athlete can earn in their high school career.
This year’s honor will be presented at a luncheon on June 19, 2021, in Cody, at the Cody Auditorium Club Room.

After another winter of dual state championships for the Jackson Hole High School alpine ski teams, the awards continue to roll in.
The Wyoming Coaches Association announced Thursday night that head coach Cody Hansen was named the 2021 winter season special sports coach of the year.
The Broncs have dominated the state s alpine scene for a decade. In early March at Snow King Mountain, the boys claimed their 10th straight state title, while the girls secured their 12th in a row.
At the 4A level, Cheyenne Central s Tagg Lain was named the top boys basketball coach of the year, and Cheyenne East s Eric Westling was named the top girls basketball coach. Natrona s Scott Russell was named the top 4A wrestling coach, while Star Valley s Eddie Clark was named the top 3A wrestling coach.
