Police are investigating a man suspected to have killed his wife and kept the body in his house for four days.
The suspect, Wycliffe Khamasi, from Katu village in Shinyalu Sub-county is currently admitted at Kakamega Referral Hospital, after alcohol poisoning, is alleged to have committed the act last week.
Khamasi is alleged to have inherited Virginia Khavakali,36, and the couple were living together for five months, but their relationship was marred with squabbles.

Residents of Madala Village in Shinyalu, Kakamega County on Monday woke up to a shocking incident in which a 46-year-old man allegedly killed his wife and stayed with her body inside their house for five days.
Neighbours claim they last saw the 35-year-old woman, Virginia Khavakali, on Monday last week.
A week later – Monday, April 26 – she was found dead inside her matrimonial house, with multiple stab wounds and her body partially burnt with a corrosive substance, police said.

A man in Kenya was taken into custody for fatally stabbing his wife. He was found living with her body inside their home for five days.
