FAMILIES have been urged not to worry after 44 memorials in a Droitwich graveyard were deemed unsafe. It comes after Wychavon District Council took over the management of the churchyard at St Nicholas Church, Ombersley Road, Droitwich. A subsequent inspection led to signs being placed on headstones and memorials with some laid down for safety reasons. An anonymous poster on social media appeared not to have been informed of any problems and questioned the validity of a grave of a family member being marked with one of the signs. “I visited a family grave at St Nicholas Church and found the (sign) around the headstone which is perfectly safe.
