Huron County Emergency Services will conduct a tornado drill at 1 p.m. March 24, part of a statewide initiative.
During the drill, tornado sirens across Huron County will be activated by local fire departments. A phone blast will also go out to schools, care facilities, parks, and government agencies.
Should your local siren not function, the local authority in charge of that siren will notify 911 and work to resolve the issue. Emergency services will also identify which phones are either not working properly or are not associated with the facility on their list.
