COVID-19 has complicated everything in our lives, and that includes major events on the entertainment calendar such as awards season. The 2021
Oscars will take a much different form this year than it ever has, as the Academy has just announced it will be held in multiple locations on April 25. A host still needs to be revealed for the event – though it s possible the ceremony, which was initially postponed from Feb. 28 due to the
coronavirus pandemic, could go hostless again. The Dolby Theatre, where it is usually held every year, will be one of several spots that will do the honours during Hollywood s biggest night. The venue typically seats 3,400 people, and that kind of crowd is obviously not possible during the pandemic.
The Prince of Wales, 72, and his wife, 73, have been inoculated to protect themselves against the novel
coronavirus, the BBC reports, and cites a statement from Clarence House. It was not revealed which vaccine they received or whether they were vaccinated at the same time. The United Kingdom is currently encouraging anyone above 70 years old to receive their immunizations. Those 70 years old and above or who are deemed high risk because of where they work and/or because of a health condition can get the jab in England. The U.K. has the goal of having 15 million people vaccinated during the first phase of its vaccine roll-out and as of Feb. 8 over 12.6 million people had received their first dosage and over 516,000 had received their second.

Rihanna made history as the first Black woman to preside over a LVMH Moët Hennessey Louis Vuitton (LVMH) brand when her
Fenty fashion label launched officially in May 2019. Sadly, the brand is being put on hold less than two years after it broke ground. Rihanna and LVMH, the French multinational conglomerate that specializes in luxury goods, made an exclusive joint statement to WWD confirming the news. Rihanna and LVMH have jointly made the decision to put on hold the RTW activity, based in Europe, pending better conditions,” it said. A skeleton staff in Paris is believed to help wind down operations.
