Kushida has defeated Santos Escobar to become the new NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
Santos Escobar issued an open challenge on tonight s WWE NXT on USA Netowkr. Kushida accepted the challenge and ended up defeating Escobar to capture the title in a surprise victory.
This is the first NXT Cruiserweight Title reign for Kushida.

During an interview with The Rich Eisen Show, WWE Champion Bobby Lashley commented on the possibility of a match against Brock Lesnar. I don’t really think that it’s a case of finding a venue to do it because I’m sure Vince [McMahon] would, I’m sure Scott [Coker] would, I’m sure Dana [White] would, I’m sure anybody would want to host that fight. It’s just Brock. It’s him, it’s him. I’m prepared, I’m ready. Kurt Angle addressed rumors of Triple H burying him during a recent episode of his podcast. The rumor is that The Game buried Angle due to his inability to get booed against John Cean, who was the top babyface at the time.

I don’t agree with him, I think John Cena, when he came up through the ranks when he started, he was booked as invincible, he hardly ever lost. [WWE] did the same thing with Roman Reigns and look what happened to him, it took a long time for the fans to get with Roman. The fans are a bit rebellious, they don’t want a guy that’s dominant or invincible. They want a guy that’s vulnerable that could win or lose at any time and John was always booked to win.
