MORGANTOWN â West Virginia Universityâs Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources has received a multimillion-dollar grant from Halliburton Landmark to purchase energy and exploration software.
The in-kind grant includes 200 licenses and maintenance for multiple Halliburton software products that focus on geoscience, drilling, economics, production, reservoir management and seismic processing. VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) Vincennes University is getting ready to host its first university-wide day of giving. Blazers Give Day will take place on April 8.
The 24-hour fundraising effort will help support hundreds of scholarships and funding for student academic programs and university activities. Students will share messages of how they benefit from the support of donors. VU officials say it s a day to show gratitude to the university community.
Kristi Deetz, executive director of the VU Foundation, said, A lot of individuals have been submitting their stories and what their experience with Vincennes University meant to them and their futures, so to be able to share those types of stories with our entire audience and all of our constituents, we re very excited about that.

Veterans United Foundation is celebrating its 10 th anniversary in 2021 and the impact that Veterans United Home Loans employees have provided to communities across the country. Foundation staff is excited to preview big plans in store for the upcoming year, as sizeable donations will be awarded to military-based and community-centered charitable organizations in the Columbia area and throughout the United States.

The Foundation was created in 2011 and is funded by more than 4,600 Veterans United Home Loans employees, Veterans United and its affiliated companies. Since its inception, more than $87 million has been donated to the Foundation, and officials expect the total to reach $100 million by the end of this calendar year. More than 90 percen

On March 3, West Virginia University received more than 5,000 gifts and donations totaling $11.9 million during the Universityâs fourth annual Day of Giving, setting new records for the 24-hour online fundraising event held across the University system.
The final numbers exceeded the $11.3 million raised during the last event held in 2019 and nearly doubled the $6 million raised the year before. The combined total for all four Days of Giving, organized by the nonprofit WVU Foundation, exceeds $32 million.
All of these donations will allow for many new opportunities to arise for the University, according to Bill Nevin, associate vice president of communications for the WVU Foundation.
