Wunderman Thompson Malaysia has named Kit Ong Executive Creative Director. Previously Ong held senior positions as the Chief Creative Officer of The Purpose Group in Saigon and as Creative Partner of LogicIllogic in Shanghai.
His work spans a number of global brands including Budweiser, Land Rover, HSBC, Procter & Gamble, Red Bull, Fonterra, Burger King and many others across a diverse range of categories.
Ong has also spent time as a filmmaker. His feature ‘The Flowers Beneath My Skin’ is one of Malaysia’s only silent feature films.

Prior to this appointment, Kit Ong was a partner in two independent creative agencies based in Vietnam and China. He was the Chief Creative Officer of The Purpose Group in Saigon, and a Creative Partner of LogicIllogic in Shanghai.
Ong has consistently produced effective creative works that resonated with local cultures. He has worked on Budweiser, Land Rover, HSBC, Procter & Gamble, Red Bull, Fonterra, Burger King and many other brands across a diverse range of categories. Ong had also served as jury at Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, AdStars, and Cresta to name a few.
Ong told A+M that the experience of helping brands thrive in a data-driven eCommerce world as fast-paced as Shanghai and Vietnam will be immensely useful back in Malaysia.
