english classes and writing classes. we ended up talking to one of the students in a writing class in an adjoining classroom with a door between her classroom and the classroom where the shooter was. she described what she heard. i heard one gunshot and then i looked over outside and people were running away from the building. i knew what happened. i said to the teacher, we have to get out of here. we have to go. the second and third gunshots happened. by that time, i was out the door. i was one of the first people out. there were some people scattered around campus and i said you need to get out. follow me if you need to. there s been a shooting. people are injured. some killed. reporter: sarah cobb said she had only been in school like everyone else for four days when this happened. she said it rattled her so much
now, according to our mapping out of this campus, we believe this is the southeast corner of snyder hall so that officer might have reported gunshots, exchanging gunshots with the gunman about at this point in that building. snyder is a building used for classes, workshops and meetings. law enforcement sources tell us the shooter started in one classroom, started moving to others including, of course, snyder hall. initial reports it might have been in the science building we were just told by a professor there that he does not believe that that occurred in this science building here which is the ground view of the science building right there. multiple patients in multiple classrooms, also, wolf, we spoke with nancy noak, a professor who teaches a writing class at the community college. she says she was in the educational skills building, that s this one right here. she says that she never heard the shots fired. this is about a five to seven-minute walk from snoto sn. a colleague came
