Pierre, SD, USA / DRGNews Jan 14, 2021 11:48 AM PIERRE – Swimmer Ella Ward-Zeller and wrestler Preston Taylor are the Pierre Athletic Coaches Association-Avera Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 9. Ward-Zeller competed in eight races at a meet in Watertown, winning seven and finishing second in the other. Pierre Swim Team Head Coach Kent Huckins said, “Ella gives 100% every day at practice, supports and pushes her teammates to get better and is always asking what she can do to improve.  Her consistent efforts have led to interest from several NCAA Division I programs.” Taylor continued his excellent senior season with five pins in as many matches at the West Central Invitational, wrestling for a total of two minutes and 33 seconds.
