both those bills will be taken up in september and probably marked up and taken up on the house floor. there are some concerns that the issue of red flag laws are going to, you know, i guess wrap up americans and others in this wrongfully, that they won t have a necessary chance to, you know, make their case as to why they should own guns. do you see the same concerns that have been expressed by some members of your own party as well as conservatives that red flag laws would not have prevented any of these mass shootings in some of the cases that we ve documented? so, the red flag laws are complicated, and there has to be sufficient due process in order to implement them appropriately and have them taken up in a court setting. so, that s not going to happen overnight. i do believe, though, that parents oftentimes, family members, have an intuition about a family member that should not have a gun. and we do know that when you have a tendency for violent
